Edward N. Albany, 79, Glasgow, was a native of Barren County, KY, born to the late Geneva Smith and Edward N. Albany, Sr. He was a retired land surveyor. During WWII, he served with the USN as a signalman. He was deployed to Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Edward was very active with establishing and being involved with the Glasgow Little League program. He served on the Board of Directors and coached in the program for 35 years. He was a member and former commander of Glasgow American Legion and a member and former commander of VFW Post 5906. His wife survives him, as well as two sons and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Albany Delk.
