CURWENSVILLE - Gerald F. Wallace, Jr., 72, formerly of South Second Street, Clearfield, and most recently a guest of Curwensville Nursing Home, Curwensville, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, at the nursing home.

Born April 10, 1924, in Clearfield, he was the son of Gerald F. Sr. and Lyn (Gallaher) Wallace.

He was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Art Institute.

Mr. Wallace had retired from Rockwell Manufacturing Co. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by four children, Michael, Emily Troiano and Sarah Jernigan, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Daniel of DuBois; five grandchildren, Melissa Wallace, Elaina Wallace, Anthony Troiano, Jacob Jernigan and Kevin Jernigan; a sister, Virginia Bumbarger; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bette Kenyon, in 1942.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with Dr. Douglas S. Pride officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Joseph and Elizabeth Shaw Public Library, 6 S. Front St., Clearfield, Pa. 16830 or to Clearfield County Area. Agency on Aging Inc., PO Box 550, Clearfield, Pa. 16830.
