Mrs. Walter Lightcap passed away early last Sunday morning at their home near Denham after a lingering illness at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 20 days. For a good many years Mr. and Mrs. Lightcap were residents of North Judson, he being one of the pioneer merchants of this city. Of recent years, they have made their home on a farm in Pulaski County.

Eliza Jane Steward was born Sept 13, 1848, in Ohio, and was married Oct. 29, 1868, to Walter Lightcap. To this union were born four sons and one daughter. The deceased is survived by the aged husband and two sons, James B. , of Chicago, and John S., who is staying at home, as also by two grand-children and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the North Judson U. B. Church of which she was a devoted member. Tuesday at 11:30 by Rev. Champlin and internment was in the old North Judson cemetry.
