Ruth L. Burns, 95, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully at 7:12 a.m. Thursday November 11, 2004, in Heartland of Chillicothe.
She was born January 15, 1909, in Ross Co. to the late Albert and Vada Hatmaker ( Sic; Hatmacker )Sampson. On May 7, 1931, she married Clyde J. Burns, who died March 3, 1967.
Surviving are her sons, Robert W. (Ruth) Burns, Jack F. (Linda) Burns and William S. Burns, all of Chillicothe; daughters, Betty Conley, Jeanetta Oates, Bonnie Montgomery and Denise (Harold) Ramsey, all of Chillicothe; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie " Marge" Wills; a grandson, Jimmie A. Oates and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2004, in Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. Lou Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's one hour prior to the service Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pleasant Valley Christian Union Church, 3930 St. Rt. 772 Chillicothe, Oh. 45601.
