Janet, 71, passed away on June 6, 2013. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Dawn (Hemingway) Hartsuff.
Janet was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, held several positions with in the Memorial Healthcare Hospital Auxiliary, was a master gardener and a 1959 graduate of Ovid High School.
Janet married Carl Galecka on March 2, 1984, in Owosso, MI and he survives her. She is also survived by her daughters, Theresa (Sunil) Merchant of West Covina, CA, Cindy (Jay) Brown of Long Beach, CA, one brother, Doug (Clarice) Hartsuff of Ovid, one sister, Barbara (Bruce) Hale of Tyler, TX, granddaughter, Nisha Merchant, sister-in-law, Chris Hartsuff, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeffrey Hartsuff.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso, with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating. The rosary was prayed at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes in Ovid.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Shiawassee County or St. Paul Catholic Church.
The family is being served by the Osgood Funeral Homes.
