Lisa Garman Cieminski, 36, died Dec. 7, 2002, in McKinney, Texas, as the result of an automobile accident involving a drunk driver. She was born July 16, 1966, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Richard C. and Maryella Garman. She attended Edmond High school from 1980-1982 and then went to Norman High School and graduated in 1984. She then went to ECU in Ada in 1984 and graduated from Central State University in Edmond, Okla.
Lisa was a compassionate, funny, nurturing and creative person, a great storyteller, and always positive and empathetic to others. Her hobbies included sewing, decorating, planning activities with her family, shopping with her sister Missy, visiting with her wonderful neighbors, and working with preschool children.
Her greatest joys were caring for her husband Mike and her twins Molly and Michael. Lisa loved shopping and home decorating projects. She touched our lives with her beauty which was not only on the outside but internal. Lisa had a wonderful sense of humor and brought us to tears with her stories. Her compassion for life was emulated through her two beautiful children.
Survivors include her husband Michael and their son Michael; from McKinney Texas. Parents Richard and Maryella Garman from Norman, Oklahoma, and her only sister Melissa Garman Whisler and nephew Carson Whisler, also from Norman, Oklahoma. Grandmother, Freda Garman of Oklahoma City; aunts and uncles, Steve Garman of Decatur, Ill., Donald Mapes of Oklahoma City, Donna Garman of Pensacola, Fla., Lucille Mapes of Oklahoma City, Margie Horany of Oklahoma City; 25 Cieminski nieces and nephews and her best friend Kathy Joyce Tanksley from Edmond, Oklahoma.
