John W. Daniell, Sr., 86, of Hampton, passed away on March 17, 2021 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Arkansas.

He was born August 30, 1934 in Sparkman, Arkansas.

John was a member of First Baptist Church in Hampton, and a retired highway patrolman for the Arkansas State Police, and he was also an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayford Daniell and Alma Ezell-Daniell; three brothers: Huie Daniell, Roland Daniell, and Ralph Daniell; five sisters: Ruby Nell Nowlin, Ruth Fitzgerald, Mary Lou Mays, Betty Jo Lewis, and Nancy Watson Christian.

John is survived by his wife, Betty Selph-Daniell of Hampton; two sons, John W. Daniell, Jr. of Tinsman and Steve (LaQuetta) Daniell of Hampton; two daughters, Jane (Garry) Wood of Hampton and Delois (Kevin) Kitchens of Warren; seven grandchildren: Jonathan (Amy) Wood of Harrell, Jennifer Biggers of Conway, Brad (Jordan) Biggers of Warren, Jaden Kitchens of Warren, Colby (Sami) Daniell of Hampton, Chris (Sara) Daniell of Banks, and Payton Daniell of Hampton; seven great grandchildren: Abbi Wood of Harrell, Kennedi Daniell, Hensley Daniell, Hudson Daniell of Hampton, Emily Daniell, Miley Daniell, and Blaine Daniell of Banks; three step grandchildren: Justin Sweeney and Bronson Sweeney of Hampton, and Austin Sweeney of Odessa, TX; and his step-great grandchildren: Reagan Sweeney of Magnolia, Gus, Willow, Olivia, Hayes, Ava, Bella, Jaxon, and Case Sweeney all of Hampton.

The funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God in Hampton with Rev. Wayne Daniell and Rev. Ken Key officiating. The burial services will follow at Means Cemetery.
