Nelson G. Castleberry, 77, of Route 2, Moultrie died Thursday at 5:00 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kansas Massey of Route 2, Moultrie, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wright Chapel with the Rev. Sidney Hancock officiating.
Burial will be in the Wright Chapel Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at a local funeral home until 7:00 p.m. Friday when it will be carried to the home of his daughter.
Born January 26, 1891 in Cook County, Ga., Mr. Castleberry was the son of Gilbert Castleberry and Mrs. Dicey Key Castleberry of Cook County.
He was a member of Evelyn Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Kansas Massey of Route 2, Moultrie; one brother, J. N. Castleberry of Ellenton.
Two grandchildren, Jan and Gregory Massey of Moultrie also survive.
