He was born in Pulaski on Aug. 22, 1945 and was the son of the late Sidney William Baker and Cora Esther Kidd Baker.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Raines, Nellie Harrell and Clara Jones and one brother, Sidney Baker.
He was employed at Jefferson Mills for 37 1/2 years where he was a supervisor in the machine shop.
He attended Brush Arbor Worship Center, Pulaski.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Judy E Baker, of Pulaski; son Tony Lee Baker, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law Patricia B. and Tim Arnold, Pulaski; grandchildren Rebecca "Becky" Kaye Baker, Necole Leeann Baker, Michelle Ann Pulliam, Brenna Joyce "BJ" Arnold; brothers Freddy Wayne Baker, Pulaski, Theotis T. "Doddie" Powers, Pulaski; half sister Lennie Peak, Norfolk; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends Tonja Eanes, Gene Cross.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carson Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Monday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
