Clara Evelyn Coe, 77, of 2721 N. Rockwood Drive, formerly of Williamsfield, died at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1992, at Methodist Medical Center.

Born Jan. 31, 1915, in Truro Township to Fred and Rilla Tucker Hurlbutt, she married Donald Coe on Oct. 11, 1940, in St. Joseph, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Janie Hild of Stevensville, Mich.; two grandchildren; and one brother, Clayton Hurlbutt of Williamsfield.

She taught school in the Williamsfield School District for 14 years before moving to Peoria, where she lived the past 42 years.

She was a member of University United Methodist Church in Peoria, the church board, United Methodist Women and was Sunday school superintendent. She was a member and past president of the Peoria Civic Federation, Peoria Juvenile Board, Williamsfield Home Culture Club and was a Girl Scouts leader in Peoria.

Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery.
