Charles was the son of Louis J Barkyoumb and Matilda Nolan. He married Philomene Emma Clara Guilbeau Sept 1 1913.

Charles and Emma had 15 children. 14 grew up to adulthood. 7 boys and 7 girls. Gus,Orie, Melvina, Leona, Matilda, Marjorie, Wilbur, James, Stephen, Wellington, Marlene, Maxie, Jacqueline, Joanne.

Charles Frank Barkyoumb 76 of 338 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury died Monday in an Avon convalescent hospital.

Charles was born in Fairfax VT., he lived in Simsbury 13 years. He was employed 27 years by American Simatra Tobacco Corp, in Hartford area. He was a member of St Mary's Church, Simsbury.

He leaves his wife, Mrs Emma (Gilbeau) Barkyoumb, five sons: Orie Barkyoumb of Cropysville NY, Wilbur Barkyoumb of Southwick, Mass, Steven Barkyoumb of Pattersonville, NY, Wellington Barkyoumb of Simsbury, and Maxie Barkyoumb of Blandford, Mass; seven daughters, Mrs Melvina Doner and Mrs Marjorie Destromp both of Underhill, VT, Mrs Leona Peatman of Middlesex VT, Mrs Matilda Taley of Simsbury, Mrs Marlene Carney of New Britain, Mrs Jacqueline Bryda of Vernon and Mrs Joanne Chemilecki of Rockville, Conn.

The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 am at the H P Brown Funeral Home, Underhill, Vt with a Requiem Mass at St Thomas Church, Underhill at 10.

Burial will be in St Thomas Cemetery Underhill Vt. Friends may call at the C H Vincent Funeral Home 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
