Earl Curtis Carlson is the son of Andrew F. Carlson and Emma Cornell.

Earl C, Carlson, 78, of 104 W. Falconer St., Falconer, was pronounced dead on arrival at 6:45 p.m. Monday (April 22, 1963) at Jamestown General Hospital. Mr. Carlson was stricken ill while fishing from a row boat in an outlet near Celoron. Assistant. Fire Chief Ray Slage of Celoron, and a group of volunteer firemen responded to the emergency call.
Mr. Carlson was a retired self-employed painter and carpenter. He was born Nov. 22, 1884, in Niobe, the son of Andrew F. and Emma Cornell Carlson. He had resided in Watts Flats area for many years before moving to Falconer 13 years ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn C. Johnson, Jamestown; three sons, Bernard L. Carleton, Jamestown, Herman E. Carlson, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Lawrence A. Carlson, Ashville; one sister, Mrs. Ida C. Ballard, Niobe; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. DeWayne Cunningham, Busti Federated Church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Niobe Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m., today at the funeral home.
