Ted P. "Sam" Richardson, Jr., 60, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Amarillo, Texas.

A Memorial Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Rev. James Peach, Pastor of Frio Baptist Church will officiate. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th Street, Hereford.

Ted was born June 12, 1952 in Hereford, to Ted Sr. and Lois Jean Sullivan Richardson. He married Debbie McCaskill Richardson on June 25, 1989 at the Dawn Baptist Church in Dawn, Texas. Sam, as he was better known by, was a farmer / rancher all his life. He was a member of the Hereford Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Clayton Elks Lodge. He loved to tease and antagonize his little grandchildren, in fun of course. He loved to watch wrestling and old western movies on TV. Sam liked to go camping and have fun at the lake. He enjoyed family gatherings and family reunions. Sam loved his wife Debbie and all his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents Ted Sr. and Lois Jean Richardson, 1 sister, Phyllis Alvarado and 1 grandson Kannon Richardson.

Survivors include his wife Debbie of the home in Clayton, NM, 4 daughters, Amy Burton and husband Derek of Norman, OK, Kelly Rettig and husband Dave of Henderson, TX, Kayla Brando and husband Stephen of Carthage, TX, Jennifer Beyers and husband Lance of Amarillo, 1 son, Daniel Burns and wife Cori of Amarillo, 5 brothers, Gary Richardson and wife Karen of Cedaredge, CO, Robert Richardson of Greenville, TX, Jason Bradshaw and wife Carrie of Georgetown, TX, Jim Bradshaw and wife Beatrice of Arlington, TX, Gary Bradshaw and wife Lindsey of Conroe, TX, 1 uncle, Jim Richardson and wife Peggy of El Centro, CA, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
