He was born on October 7, 1952 in to Albert and Gloria Ortiz.
Mylo recently retired as a feeder driver from UPS after 31 years of dedicated service. He loved cruising the streets of Corpus while listening to oldies music, shooting pool, and riding his Harley. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ysabel and Sara Flores; father, Albert Ortiz; uncle, Armando Flores; in-laws: Ricardo M. Torres, Daniel and Maria Luisa Torrez, Francis Moran, Alicia M. Torres and Dick McGregor.
Survivors left to cherish his memories are his wife of 35 years, Libbey Ortiz; daughters: Dawn Nichole (Carlos) Longoria, Stephanie (Dr. Edward) Wright, Kimberli (Robert Ditchik) Ortiz; sons: Lloyd Gregg and Mylo (Melissa) Gregg; his mother, Gloria Ortiz. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Jacob Longoria, Wesley Smith, Christian Wright and his 'Little Princess' Madison Wright, Lloyd Rivera, Johnny, Danny, Kaley Gregg; brothers: Albert (Dora) Ortiz, Daniel (Roxanna) Ortiz; sisters: Anna Berg, Ava (Roel) Escobar; brothers and sisters in-law: Irma McGregor, Marti (Manuel) Gallardo, Carlos Torres, Manuel (Vilma) Torres, R.B. (Anita) Torres, Edward Moran; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
