Farol Annice Hackney, 63, of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away at Anniston Regional Medical Center. Born in Cherokee County to Fred and Iris Gowens Goss, she had lived in Piedmont most of her life. She was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church and former employee of Piedmont Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jill. She is survived by her husband, Edward Hackney of Piedmont; children: Meredith Hackney, Katie Burkhalter, John Hackney, James Hackney and Laura Phillips, all of Piedmont; grandchildren; sisters: Angela Pope, Teresa Hicks; brothers: Phil Goss, Sidney Goss; other family. At her request, she was cremated and there will be no services.
