OBITUARIES.—BREVARD—Mrs. Sue L., wife of A. E. Brevard, and daughter of Richard S. and Jane McConnel, was born in Sumner County, Tenn., May 10, 1842, and died at Pierce City, Mo., May 21, 1881, aged 39 years. She was married to her now bereaved husband in Fulton County, Ky., in the year 1866. She professed faith in our blessed Saviour in early life and joined the M. E. Church, South, in 1865, in which she lived a useful and exemplary Christian life, until she was called to her reward. She leaves many friends and relatives to mourn her loss. While we weep, we weep not as those who have no hope, but look forward to the time when we shall meet her where disease and death never come. Although Sister Brevard has lived in this City only a little over a year, she had a host of good and true friends who never wearied in kindness and tender care for her. May God bless them in their labor of love.—A FRIEND.——ST. LOUIS CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE, Volume 27, No. 31, St. Louis, MO, June 8, 1881.

Daughter of Jane DeBow.
