Betty was the daughter of Lafayette and Margaret(Robinson) Lansdon. As a small
child Betty moved to Portland, Oregon where she received her education. She
married Carl Leahman Adams on Aug. 1, 1948 at the First Presbyterian in
Portland, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in Portland
until moving to Longview, WA in 1952. In 1955 they moved to Prosser, WA where
they farmed on the Roza. Carl and Betty moved to Sunnyside in 1960, her husband
died on February 1, 1994 and she continued to make Sunnyside her home until the
time of her death. Betty was a Past Worthy Matron and member of the Easter Star
and Grand Representative to Mississippi from the state of Washington. Longtime
member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church and Sunnyside Garden Club. Betty was
an artist, she also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, sewing, and crocheting.
Betty was a volunteer teacher's aid at the Sunnyside Elementary School, teaching
reading and math.

Betty is survived by two children, Daniel Adams, and Jeanne Szarzynski and husband Randall.
Two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Carl in 1994 and one brother, Robert Lansdon.
