Word has been received her of the death from a heart attack, of DeLee Allen, 65, at his home in Boulder, Colo., Thursday, April 26, 1948.

He was born in South Otselic, N. Y., October 24, 1886 the son of Jay and Elsena Marshall Allen, coming to DeRuyter with his parents when a young lad, and in later years became a partner in his father's plumbing and hardware store in the Allen block on Albany street, whic was dismantled several years ago.

In 1914 he married Edith Maxim of Mariposa, who passed away in 1936. After having been in business here with his father for several years he decided to go to Colorado for his health and to make his home, where he was married again in 1946.

Mr. Allen, during his residence in Boulder, Colo., has continued to follow his trade as a plumber. He had many friends here who will regret to hear of his untimely and sudden demise, as he mad a trip to DeRuyter only about a year ago, and was apparently in the best of health.

He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Lettie Richards of Boulder, Colo., and Miss Louva Allen of Binghamton; also several nieces and nephers.

As near as we are able to learn funeral services were held Thursday, April 29th, for Allardice & Hibbard mortuary, at Boulder, Colo., where burial was made.
