THIRD OF PIONEER SOREN JENSEN FAMILY TO DIE DURING THE PAST YEAR

In failing health the past six months and bedfast three weeks, Mrs. Anna B. Jensen, 78, Blairite since shortly after the town's founding, died Friday at her home, 311 west Lincoln street. She was the widow of Jens Black Jensen, who died about 11 years ago.

Mrs. Jensen was the third child of the late Soren and Sena Jensen, prominent Blair pioneers, to die within the last 11 months. Others dying recently were Mrs. Emma Svendgaard and James H. Jensen. Another brother, J.P. Jensen, died several years ago.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jensen were conducted Monday afternoon at First Baptist Church. The Revs. D.D. Kennedy and Watson F. Lewis officated, and interment followed in Blair Cemetery under direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

WAS BORN IN OMAHA

Mrs. Jensen was born in Omaha Apr. 11, 1867, when the Jensen family still resided there in what is now the heart of downtown Omaha. They later came to Washington county, Mrs. Jensen's home since. Anna B. Jensen and Jens Black Jensen were married May 10, 1887.

Surviving Mrs. Jensen are six daughters, Mrs. Sena Wulf, Mrs. Hanna Jensen, Mrs. Stella Hall, and Mrs. Esther Schenck, all of Blair; Mrs. Eleanor Hart and Mabel Best, both of Glendale, Calif.; three sons, Soren C. Jensen of Herman, Chris E. Jensen of Blair and William Jensen of Walthill. Another son, Emil Jensen, preceded his mother in death.

Other survivors include five brothers, Nels M. Jensen, Ed A. Jensen, and Henry C. Jensen, all of Blair; Andrew A. Jensen of Oregon; and Albert A. Jensen of Millard; and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Gilbertson and Mrs. Myrtle Voss, both of Blair; and Mrs. Mary Voss of Millard. There are 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
