Pearl Barnette, 86, of Goreville passed away at 9:35 AM, Friday, January 12, 2007 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday January 15, 2007 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion, with Dr. Ron Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday January 14, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery, Goreville. Mrs. Barnette was born on January 26, 1920 to Ira and Rosie (Sturgill) Roberts in Wise, Virginia. She married Audney Barnette in Wise Virginia in 1936; he preceded her in death on July 2, 1984.
Survivors include son Noble Barnette and special friend Mary Jane Smoot of Goreville; daughters and sons-in-law Lydia and James Pulley of Dover, Tennessee, Anna and Emmette Peake of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Beatrice and Al DeSantis of Port Richie, Florida; grandchildren Rose Sweeny, Jimmy Pulley, Debby Spriggs, Ella Kuehl, Denise Cox, John Peake, Michael Peake, Kristie Wall; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Earl Wayne Barnette, brothers Melvin, Grover, Emery, Richard, Willie (Roberts), sisters Nervie Baldwin, Carleen Roberts, Goldie Golden, Vernie Lane.
Mrs. Barnette was Homemaker, she loved to crochet and spend time with her family, great-grandchildren Bethany and Jonathan Lingle.
