A beautiful Alaskin Huskie/Wolf mix dog that my parents bought when she was just a few months old.

My parents suprised us with her, as we hadn't known we were getting a pet. They put her on the dining room table and called my siblings and myself into the room. When I first saw her, I thought she was a stuffed animal. I went to pick her up and she barked.

My parents got another dog, Princess (a little Yorkie) after her and I remember Princess nipping at Cheena's legs and then running down the stairs. This was done to get Cheena to come down the stairs, as she was afraid. And it worked.

Cheena moved to Germany with us from 1994 to 1997, and then came back to the states with us. Over time, she got older and her eyesight went. Then her hearing. By the time my parents finally decided to put her down, she could barely move.

She was a great pet and guard. She loved it when my parents bought their 5 acre spread. She went out every day with my father and helped him herd his goats. She loved the freedom the land offered and being able to run wild. It was much better than the little backyard she had been couped up in for 4 years in Germany.

And we all deeply loved her.

I wish I had pictures of her when she was younger to put up. The pictures I have, she was already older. I will keep digging though. When she was younger, her coat was so beautiful.
