Pioneer at
Honda Dies
Frank C. Cavalli who came
to La Honda from Italy when
he was nine years old and lived
there for 75 years, died last
night at his home 135 Escon-
dido. La Honda, after a lendthy
illness.
Cavalli, 84, owned Cavalli's
Tavern in La Honda and sold
the business when he retired
after World War II. It is now
known as the La Honda Inn.
He was a charter member of
the Fraternal Order of Eagles,
Aerie 418, Redwood City.
Suriving are his wife, Mary,
La Honda; a son Milton, San
Mateo; a brother, Ben, Redwood
City; two sisters, Mrs. Venuta,
Heoner, both of Hollister and
one granddaughter.
Funeral servies will be con-
ducted Monday at 10 a.m. at
the Redwood Chapel. Redwood
City, with interment at Alta
Mesa Cemetery, Palo Alto. Fra-
ternal Order of Eagles services
will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sun-
day at the chapel. Contributions
to the heart fund are preferred.
