Mehitable was the daughter of Samuel Wentworth and Sarah Puffer of Stoughton, Mass. She was married in Stoughton on 13 Aug 1772 to James Fadden, a Revolutionary War veteran. The family generally lived in Canton, but in 1790 they appear on the census in nearby Brookline, Mass. Mehitable wrote a will dated 8 June 1824, and proved in Norfolk County, Mass. 7 December 1824, naming sons James and Andrew (her daughter Mehitable had died), granddaughters Sally Draper and Amelia Fisher, and brother Nathaniel Wentworth. Why her living daughter Rachel Cobb was not included is not known.
