Death of A.J. Cornwall.--Mr. A. J. Cornwall, who died at his home, 300 Water street, November 12, was a well-known resident of Portland, coming here in 1852, crossing the plains under the leadership of Colonel J.K.F. Mansfield. He was born in Middletown, Conn., January 25, 1840. Those left to mourn his loss are his wife, Margaret Cornwall, two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Roland, of Portland, and Mrs. Hattie Murphy, of San Francisco. His sisters and brothers are: Mrs. Amelia Arnold, of Deep River, Conn.; Mrs. Hattie Hall, Middletown, Conn.; Henry Cornwall, Boston, Mass., and Brainard Cornwall.
