Patricia L (Wagner) Drong passed away due to complications following surgery on Wednesday, May 15 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday May 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND with Msgr Dennis Skonseng as celebrant and Deacon James McAllister assisting. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7PM Monday at Sacred Heart Church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be in the ND Veterans Cemetery at Mandan, ND at 10 AM Wednesday.
Pat was born on February 21, 1949 in Valley City, ND to Bernard Wagner and Mary (Sauer) Wagner. She attended school at Sanborn and graduated from Sanborn High School in 1967. Following graduation, she attended classes at Valley City State College. Pat was united in marriage to James Drong in Sanborn at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on February 6, 1970. Pat and Jim were blessed with one son, Michael James.
In her lifetime Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, gardening, and looked forward to planting flowers every spring.
Pat was a member of DAV Auxillary, VFW Auxillary, AMVETS Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary, Eagles Auxillary, District 24 Democrats, Sacred Heart Christian Mothers and 164th Infantry Association.
Pat is survived by her husband, James of 43 years; parents, Bernard and Mary Wagner of Valley City; son, Michael (Lisa) of Sartel, MN; three grandsons, McRay, Connor, Elias Drong, of Sartel, MN; brother, Charles Wagner, of Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
