Betty Jane Grimes, age 88, a lifetime resident of Huntington, passed away at 12:38 p.m. Friday (May 17, 2013) Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Family will receive friends 3-7 p.m. Monday (May 20, 2013) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 21, 2013) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Scribner officiating. Burial will be held in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

Betty was born May 23, 1924 in Huntington, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd and Lelilam (Landis) Baker. She graduated in 1943 from Huntington Township High School and she graduated in 1959 from Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Betty and Charles Sheridan Grimes were united in marriage on May 17, 1946 in Huntington. They shared 63 years of marriage before Charles preceded her in death on February 10, 2010.
Betty was the owner of Petite Beauty Center from 1959 to 2009 and prior owning her salon she worked for eight years with her sister June at Etna Beauty Center. She was a member of St. Peter First Community Church of Christ, and of the American Legion Post #7 Ladies Auxiliary of Huntington, she served as Past President from 1964-1965.
Betty is survived by one brother - Jerry G. (Carol) Baker of Huntington; one sister - June E. Brinemen of Marion and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents - Floyd and Lelilam Baker.
