Fort Bend Herald, July 27, 2010:

Funeral services for Christopher Ray Elmore, 43, of Pearland, will be held at 10:00 A. M., Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with Pastor Ron Davidge officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.

Christopher was born May 30, 1967 in Wharton to Clifford Ray Elmore and Karen Vallet LaRose. Chris worked at Kroger for 15 years before going to work at Casco, a type IV Landfill, as the gate attendant. He enjoyed his work and had great pride in doing his job with perfection. This was evident by the trust his boss Richard Martini placed in him. Chris' favorite activities were hunting, working on his aquarium, spending time with his dog, Abby, and taking care of his truck. Chris cared deeply for the people close to him. He will be dearly missed. He passed away July 25, 2010 in Pearland.

Christopher is preceded in death by his mother, Karen LaRose; his grandparents, Henry Jim and Ruby Lee Elmore; uncle, Gordon Lee Elmore; aunt, Dayle Marie Allard; and an infant sister.

He is survived by his father, Clifford Ray Elmore and wife, Rose Ann; grandparents, Betty and James Holub and Gilbert and Ruth Vallet; siblings, Troy Shawn Elmore and wife, Heather and their children, Brooke, Kara, Paige and Reagan, Craig Allan Elmore, Jonathan Owen Elmore and wife, Kimberly, and Robyn Ruth Kozan and husband, Jeffrey; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers will include Patrick Jezek, Richard Martini, Michael Jezek, Bradley Vallet, Jason Vallet and James Holub.

Donations may be made in memory of Christopher to the American Heart Association, 10060 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas, 77054.
