Mrs. Lula Heidle, a resident of Kaufman passed away at her home Wednesday evening,after an illness of several months. Mrs. Heidle was prominent as a landowner and financier. She resided at 1609 S.Washington St, having moved to Kaufman with her husband in 1945.
Funeral rites for Mrs.Heidle were conducted from the Anderson-Clayton Chapel in Terrell at 2:00 Friday afternoon. W.A.Martin,minister of the Church of Christ in Kaufman officiated.
Interment was in the Ashworth Cemetery, east of Kaufman.

Mrs.Heidle was the daughter of the late Monroe Ashworth and Mary Jane Crisp Ashworth, She was born on April 22, 1884 in Kaufman County, where she spent her life except for a few years of residence in Abilene. Mr.& Mrs.Heidle resided at Cedarvale on a large farm and ranch, until they moved to Kaufman. Her marriage to Homer Heidle took place in 1903.
A child, H.H.Jr., died in infancy.
Surviving Mrs.Heidle is her brother Monroe Ashworth of Kaufman an Attorney; a sister, Mrs.W.B. Wiltshire of Lubbock, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Active pallbearers were: Edwin Ashworth, Dr.C.T.Ashworth, James A. Ashworth Jr. Fred Ashworth, Johnny Ashworth, Charles N. Ashworth, Jack Ashworth, Clyde Robert Ashworth, and Phillip Heidle.
Aged 76 years.
