Beloved wife, mother, sister, whose valiant eight year battle against renal cell cancer was an inspiration to all who knew her. As a nurse, she dedicated her life to helping others suffering from illness and disease. As a cancer patient and health care provider, she was an advocate for others battling cancer, (both in the United States and Europe). Karen volunteered for experimental, very dangerous, aggressive therapy programs, setting an unpredecedented case history for the treatment of renal cell cancer. Her love for her family, friends, and fellow man was only surpassed by her great faith in the Lord. Her last battle was fought after attending a prayer service for someone else. Karen Cantin was predeceased by her mother, Betty Jane Tucker, of The Tucker Sisters fame.
