Shirley Lillian (Peterson) Betz, age 88 of Englewood, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Shirley had been a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Englewood for 67 years, and served as a member of the choir for over 50 years. Shirley retired from the Klausner & Becker Medical Practice where she worked as an X-Ray Technician.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Sherryl Beard of Englewood, Joy and David Weiss of Beachwood, OH, sons and daughter-in-law: Vic and Colleen Betz of Loveland, and Kyle Betz of Montana, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Glen R. Betz, parents: Victor & Lillian (Johnson) Peterson, and a sister: Jean Waller.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Concord United Methodist Church (1123 S. Main Street, Englewood 45322) with Rev. Dr. Tom Rand officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the church.
