Mrs. Pistole, 98, died
Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Lea
Regional Medical Center in
Hobbs. She was born Feb. 20,
1907, in Northfield, Texas. She
married Tulles Pistole on
Jan. 2, 1925, in Childress,
Texas.
Mrs. Pistole and her husband
homesteaded in Cee Vee,
Texas, in the early 1930s. She
moved to Childress, Texas, in
1974, and Hobbs, N.M., in 1977.
Lena was a member of First
Baptist Church. She enjoyed
gardening and quilting. She
especially loved her Lord and
Savior, family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter-
in-law, Judy Pistole of
Hobbs, N.M.; three sisters;
four grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Pistole was preceded in
death by her husband in 1961;
a son, Gerald, in 2003; two sisters;
one brother; and her parents,
Ben and Betty Howard.
