Funeral of H.D. Gates. The funeral of Herbert D. Gates was held yesterday morning at his home, No. 12 Blinn Street, East Hartford, with requiem mass at St. Mary's church. Rev. Timothy E. Sullivan, the pastor, was the celebrant. The bearers were James E. Kerrigan, John W. Roberts, Fred B. Griswold, and John C. Frank, representing Nathan Hale Lodge, No. 39, Ancient Order of United Workman, of which Mr. Gates was a member for many years. The burial was in East Haddam.
