"MRS. MARGARET KEGERREIS
Mrs. Margaret Kegerreis, 89, a resident of Elkhart and vicinity most of her life, died at 4:15 o'clock this morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Roy H. and Matie P. Lloyd, 817 Fulton. She had been bedfast 5 months.
Friends will be received at the Walter G. Meyer funeral home, 216 West High, after 4 p.m. Friday until the hour of the service there, 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The service will be conducted by the Rev. E. R. Hill of the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Rice cemetery.
The deceased, who was born in Summit county, Ohio, on Oct. 26, 1855, was brought to Elkhart county at the age of 6 years by her parents, Jonathan and Christina (Hennich) Witwer. Her husband, David Kegerreis, died in Elkhart on Aug. 4, 1923.
Surviving besides Mrs. Lloyd are another daughter, Mrs. J. F. (Vertie M.) Fancil of Mishawaka route 2; a granddaughter, Mrs. R. P. Tate of South Bend; 2 great-grandsons, Kenneth and Bruce Tate of South Bend; 2 brothers, Simon E. Witwer of Niles, Mich., and John B. Witwer of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. J. L. Forsyth of South Bend."
