Rosemary H. Burns, of Bonneauville, entered into God's eternal care May 10, 2013, in York, surrounded by her family. Rosemary was the loving wife of Joseph G. Burns, Jr., who died September 4, 2002.

Born August 29, 1940, in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of the late William and Clementine (Brown) Hohensee.

Rosemary graduated from St. Joseph's Academy of New Orleans, LA.

She worked as a clerical bookkeeper in various offices over the years. Most recently, she worked in Gettysburg in the medical offices of Dr. Bajaj.

Rosemary was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Catholic War Veterans in Bonneauville. She was also a member of the Recycled Teenagers social group. In her free time, Rosemary enjoyed traveling.

Rosemary is survived by her son, Michael A. Burns of Gettysburg; her daughter, Susan B. Bast and husband, Rob of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Makayla and Austin Bast; brother, William Hohensee of Poplarville, MS; and two sisters, Marilyn Mart and Martha Hohensee, both of New Orleans, LA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., May 14, 2013, at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville, with Fr. Augusty T. Valomchalil as the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. the 14th at the church.
