Alice Louise Buhl, 76, of Waco, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, May 18, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 2919 McKenzie Ave., Waco. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home.

Alice was born in Waco, Texas, to O. C. Dell Laymon and Velma (Brooks) Ward. Alice attended A. J. Moore High School in Waco. On April 19, 1962, she was united in marriage to Charles Allen Buhl in Waco. She was employed by the Waco Independent School District for 21 years and was retired at the time of her passing. In her spare time, she enjoyed church, reading, photography, movies and spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Odell and Sylvester Laymon.

She is survived by her children, Debra Ann Stevens, Darryl Watson, Laurie Buhl, and Kevin Buhl, all of Waco, Joyce Buhl Bridges and husband, Roderick, and Traci Buhl, all of Houston; grandchildren, Anthony Randolph, Nitoshia McDaniel and husband, Derrick, Ray Anthony Simon Jr., Robert Lee Evans Jr., Kelia Kelly, and Ariana Bridges; great-grandchildren, Ton' Eisha Washington and Jarvis McDaniel; a great-great-granddaughter, A'Niyah Henderson; devoted brother, Bobby Joe "BJ" Laymon; many other relatives and numerous friends.
