George II was about 28 years old & Sarah was 24 when they married on Oct. 31, 1750. Sarah was from Salem, Mass. & they were married there. They made their home at Danvers, Mass. & started a family. They had 1 daughter, Sarah, after her mother & both grandmothers. Three sons, Samuel, after her farther, George Jr., after his dad & grandfather Wyatt, & Joshua. George & Sarah's parents were early settlers in Massachusetts, they all were pioneers, & played a part in the start of our young fledgling country, as did the 2 oldest boys, Samuel & Joshua.
( I have put a I, II & Jr. before George Wyatt names to make it less confusing. I have not seen the I or II in any records. ) George II served 1 day in the Continental Line was a Pvt. In the Rev. War. He was 55 years old.
After Sarah died George feeling the need for companionship, someone to keep house for him & a woman to help raise his youngest son, ( George Jr. Was 10 when his mom died.) George II remarried. Her name was Mary Porter Kettle Holden. They had no children.
