He later moved to Springfield IL where he was a Account for the State of IL. He then married, Mary Campbell on 17 Mar 1923. She died, 19 Oct 1933

Galbreath . 75, Decatur, a native of Ashmore will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brintlinger funeral home, Decatur, with burial in Mitchell cemetery near Ashmore. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. Mr. Galbreath died at 10:30 a.m Tuesday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital, Decatur. He was born Sept. 6, 1880, in Ashmore, a son of James A. and Catherine Wilson Galbreath. He married Mrs. Margaret Norris April 17. 1937, in Chicago. Surviving are his widow; a son, Dr. Edwin Carter Galbreath, Carbondale; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wittenauer, Decatur; two stepsons, Henry D. Norris, Woodbury, N. Y., and Robert E. Norris, Affton, Mo.; two brothers, Clifford A., Charleston, and Max E. Batavia; a sister, Mrs. Annie Meyer. Charleston, and two grandchildren.
