Born in Cannon Valley, W.Va., he was a Vineland resident for a year, moving here from Bridgeport, W.Va.
Prior to retirement in 1985, he was employed as a supervisor by Consolidated Coal Co. in Morgantown, W.Va. for 30 years. He was employed part-time by Vineland Shop Rite.
A 1938 Thomas High School graduate, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vineland.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son, Delbert Jr. of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a daughter, Pamela A. Newlon of Vineland; two brothers, Ronald of Clayton, Ohio and Donald of Eaton, Ohio; four sisters, Lona Sell and Ruth Bright, both of Trotwood, Ohio, Hilda Goss of Parsons, W.Va., and Leora Lee of Englewood, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday in the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home in Clarksburg, W.Va. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery in Davis, W.Va.
Local arrangements are by the Pancoast Funeral Home in Vineland.
