PEORIA - LaVerne C. Busby, 95, of Peoria, formerly of Taylorville, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chillicothe.
She was born March 27, 1910, in Johnson Township, the daughter of George and Elnora Micenheimer Oyler. She married Vernon M. Busby in 1931 in Witt; he died in 1955.
Mrs. Busby retired as a telephone operator in Jacksonville for the state of Illinois in 1976.
Survivors: son, Lee D. Busby of Peoria, two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Graveside services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville.
