Emily (Prime) Seaton was born to Nathaniel and Cornielia (Sands) Prime on June 26, 1804, in New York NY.

Emily was married to Lieut William Seaton III, son of William Jr and Elizabeth (Bayley) Seaton, on July 17, 1832, by Rev Varela.

They had nine children:
1) Capt William Seton IV (1835 NYC - 1905 NYC)
2) Emily Seton (1836 NYC - 1868 NH)
(died while prepping to enter convent)
3) George Seton (1837 : died in infancy)
4) Maj Henry Seton (1838 NYC - 1904 MD)
5) Archbishop Robert Seton (1839 Italy - 1927 NJ)
6) Elizabeth Seton (1840 Italy - 1906)

Emily was taken to the south of France, in Pau, for her health and passed away there on November 28, 1854.
