Husband of Elizabeth (Beck) Blocher (1824-1886). They were married on October 11, 1846 in Scott County, Indiana. David's first wife was Mary (Clark) Blocher (1799-1846). David was the son of Christian Blocher and Catherine (Dougan/Dougal) Blocher Mark. David was the father of fourteen children. He had nine children with Mary Clark including: Joshua John, John Willard, Isaac, David, Mary Margaret (Blocher) Robbins and Richard H. Blocher. His eight children with Elizabeth were: Sarah Elizabeth "Sally" (Blocher) McCoy, Nathan J. Blocher, Nancy Ann (Blocher) Nevils, Theodore Winfield Blocher, Gilbert E. Blocher and Charles D. Blocher. David died after 1860.
