CUMBERLAND - Guy Eugene Fleegle, 78, of Cumberland, died on Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home. Born Feb. 16, 1928, in Corriganville, he was the son of the late Oscar Burton Fleegle and Hazel I. (Dawson) Fleegle.

A veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps Veteran, Mr. Fleegle retired as a security guard from the National Archives.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patty Lou (Klingler) Fleegle; his sons, John Lee Fleegle and his wife Louise, Rio Rancho, N.M., Leonard Eugene Fleegle and his wife Vera, Hagerstown and Lawrence Kevin Fleegle, Hagerstown; his daughters, Darla Fay Robbins and her husband Ron, Pasadena and Carla Rae Fleegle, Farmington, Conn.; his brother, Burton Sinclair "Sonny" and his wife Pat, Cumberland; his sisters, Maxine Rice and her husband Albert, Corriganville, Leanna Schlossler of Florida, Darlene Kauffman, Cresaptown and Joye Hillard and her husband Ron, California, Md.; as well as 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday, March 19, 2006, from 3 to 5 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, March 20, 2006, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tom Landaker officiating.

Interment will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
