VERNON >> Cheri A. Ormsby, age 61, of Wood Road passed away early Friday morning April 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving children.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1952 in Rome, N.Y., a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Feedler) Schultz and was a graduate of VVS Central School.
Prior to her retirement in 2007, Cheri was employed as an aide with the C.N.Y. P.C.
In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her children and friends.
Surviving are her three children, Joelle Burns of Yorkville, John Ormsby of Vernon and Jamie Ormsby of Vernon; one grandson, Richard Burns of Yorkville; one sister Gail (Jack) Marlenga and their daughter Lindsey all of New Hartford; and one brother Eddy Schultz of Churchville.
Cheri was predeceased by a daughter Jillian Ormsby.
In keeping with Cheri's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., Vernon, N.Y.
