Obituary
DELMA ALLIGOOD
Delma Lee Alligood Retired Command Sergeant Major Delma L. Alligood, of Tacoma, WA, passed away on March 29, 2013 to be with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. Delma was born in Washington, NC on September 17th, 1936 to Jatha and Ella. He was preceded in death by his siblings Odell, Eula, Lena, Hilton, and Alton. Delma joined the United States Army at age 17, and proudly served our country for 32 years active duty. He was a decorated soldier, receiving numerous awards and a bronze star for his heroism in battle. His military career extended well beyond his honorable discharge, as he continued to work at Fort Lewis for the next 20 years managing the Resource Library for our troops. Delma was an adoring husband to Ok-He and a loving father to Dianna and Micheal. He was a proud grandfather to Kenny, Collin, Ryan, and Kristin, and great-grandfather to Noah, aka "Scooter". He is survived by his brother Ernest and sister Naomi of North Carolina. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA. We will all miss his kind heart and abundant humor that he shared openly with everyone he met. Goodbye Buddy. See you on the flipside, Dad. We miss you, Grandpa! I love you, Yobo!
