CAROLINA CAVAZOS
Mrs. Carolina Cavazos, 82, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born February 1, 1923, in Duran, New Mexico, daughter of Julio and Florencia Telles Olivas. She later moved to Hillsboro. December 2, 1950, she married Manuel Cavazos. He was a painting contractor while Carolina was a housewife raising eight children. Her life mainly consisted of taking care of her family, and she was a very devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Hillsboro. Carolina was a very loving mother and housewife and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include: three sons, Joe Cavazos and wife, Dinah, of Waco and Johnny Cavazos and Nick Cavazos and wife, Chrissy, all of Hillsboro; five daughters, Mary Felan of Waco, Rita Rodriguez and husband, Tony, of Fort Worth, Teresa Cavazos and campanion, Vivian, of Phoenix, Arizona and Sherry Cook and Barbara Molina and husband, Jose, all of Hillsboro; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Alberto Bueno officiating. Interment was at Itasca Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, Georgia 22311.
