Mary was born on March 16, 1933 in Cadiz, Trigg Co, Kentucky, the only child of Ebert C and Louise (Oatts) Ketcham. The family later moved to Hopkinsville, Christian Co,KY. She married Edgar "Ole" Olson on June 15, 1952 at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. They were the parents of three chldren.
