She and Boyce had three daughters, Margaret, Elizabeth and Jo Ann, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She and Boyce raised iris and peonies on their farm near Shelby, NC. They were active members of the First Baptist Church in Shelby, NC.
