Lula A. BUCKHEISTER, 81, of 10347 E. Indiana 14, Akron, died at 10:22 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Born in Miami County to Oart and Alta Berger Yarian, she married Orville Buckheister on April 16, 1944, in Akron. He died on Sept. 8, 1995.

Mrs. Buckheister was a homemaker and a house cleaner. She attended Akron Church of God, was a part of the Missionary Circle, the Goldenaires, the bus ministry and was a Sunday School teacher and former choir member.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose and husband Chris Hopkins, Warsaw, Nancy Buckheister, Dayton, Ohio, and Diane and husband Mylin Cumberland, Warsaw; six grandchildren, Jerry II, Lisa, Aaron, Rachel, Veronica and Rob; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Otis and wife Eleanor Yarian, Huntington, W.Va.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Beigh.

Her funeral service is 3 p.m. Wednesday at Akron Church of God with the Rev. Terry Canfield officiating. Burial is at Akron Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, and one hour prior to her service at the
church.
