Fred Ray Hilbert died Sat. Dec. 11, 1982, in Stillwater Medical Center. Internment will be in the Fairlay Cemetery. Hanner-Sharp Legion Post No. 129 will make a flag presentation. He was born Jan. 27, 1896, in ILL., the son of George and Mable Hilbert. He lived in Payne County most of his life and served in the US Army during World War I overseas in France. He was a farmer and member of the First Assemby of God Church and a 60 year member of Hanner-Sharp Legion Post No.129.
He was preceded by his first wife, Leota, and one grand-daughter. Survivors include his second wife, the former Hazel Zipse Hill, and a daughter, Alma (Vernon) Hauser. Other survivors include two brothers and six sisters: Richard and Orville Hilbert, Dorothy Taulman, Doris Mansfield, Hazel O'Neal, Ruby Holliday, Goldie Clements and Ruth Gregory.
