Edward "Ed" Buckman, 82, Shelbina, died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
He was born in Shelbina, Mo. on September 12, 1922, the son of Omer and Ruth Blackford Buckman.
Survivors include his wife: two step-daughters, Sharon, Mae; three step-sons, Kent, Gale, Mike; eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three step-children, Mary, Margaret, Ann; and two brothers, Carl Francis Buckman and William Robert Buckman.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelbina, the St. Mary's Council Knights of Columbus 2241, and the Salt River Bow Hunters Club. He was a crop and dairy farmer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Saturday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shelbina with Father Michael Murphy and Rev. Mr. John Graff officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Shelbina.
Visitation was Friday evening, December 17, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Nutrition Site or the American Heart Association.
